Hallo! We are 19 students and three teachers travelling to Werder / Germany from the 16th of April until the 12th of May 2017. We will be hosted by the Ernst-Haeckel-Gymnasium Werder and are going to visit several historic places in Berlin, Potsdam and Bavaria. This is the 7th time a group from Lynfield is going to Germany and all students look forward to using their German language skills in authentic situations.

Werder
The group arrived safely in Berlin after our long journey, and surprisingly everyone's luggage also arrived - luggage checked in at Auckland and all arrived in Berlin! - amazing! The first day's programme consisted of a walking tour of the island of Werder, one of the older parts of the town. The tour was conducted by our host brothers and sisters, with stops for information at major points of interest. At the Council Offices we met the Mayor who spoke to us about the area. The weather co-operated and we managed to get to the end of the tour without the forecast showers. It has been cool (about 9 degrees) and cloudy. We are looking forward to tomorrow's walking tour of Berlin (and catching up on some sleep tonight!)
